  • Meyer Pharmaceuticals recently acquired rights to develop and market a new Oligonucleotide Decoy drug in North America and Europe.  The new drug specifically blocks pro-inflammatory genes activated by the NF‑κB transcription factor, and is currently in a Phase II trial in Japan.  Our development partner is AnGes MG, Inc.  Meyer’s lead product is MP40 for treatment of atopic dermatitis and psoriasis.

  • Meyer Pharmaceuticals participated in the Bio 2006 Annual International Convention Business Forum held in Chicago, Illinois, in April, 2006.  Substantial strides were made in advancing partnering efforts and the important associations with country’s leading biotech companies.

  • Meyer Pharmaceuticals was a major sponsor of the University of California, San Diego, Clinical Investigation Institute’s, 2nd Annual Golf Fore Arthritis Tournament for the second year.  The event was held at the Del Mar Country Club on May 22, 2006.  The successful tournament raised almost $60,000 and will help to fund the new Arthritis Center at UCSD.

MEYER PHARMACEUTICALS ACQUIRES NF‑κB DECOY TECHNOLOGY  November 19, 2007
Meyer Pharmaceuticals llc announces today that it has licensed rights to a new drug technology for the treatment of inflammatory conditions such as arthritis and skin disease.  The drug is a patented oligonucleotide (a small segment of DNA) that specifically blocks NF-κB, a transcription factor that turns on the expression of pro-inflammatory genes.  The technology is licensed from AnGes MG, a Japanese pharmaceutical company, and is currently in Phase II testing for the treatment of atopic dermatitis.

NEW PATENT FOR CANCER VACCINATION METHOD  March 20, 2007
Meyer Pharmaceuticals llc announced today that the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office has issued U.S. Patent No. 7,175,839.  The new patent covers a cancer treatment in which activated cells are implanted into a tumor in a cancer patient, stimulating the patient’s immune system to eliminate the tumor.  The process involves cytokine priming and dendritic cell loading in situ, and has proven successful in animal studies.  Meyer Pharmaceutical’s corporate focus is now on arthritis and other inflammatory conditions, and the company is seeking to out-license its extensive patent portfolio covering cancer vaccine products.

NEW PATENT FOR RECOMBINANT TNF RECEPTOR RELEASING ENZYME July 15,2003
Meyer Pharmaceuticals, LLC announces that the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office is today issuing U.S. Patent Nos. 6,593,456. This is the first U.S. patent covering recombinant forms of TNF Receptor Releasing Enzyme, a family of new biological agents for treating inflammatory disease. Rights to this technology has been licensed exclusively to Meyer Pharmaceuticals from the University of California at Irvine.

Meyer Pharmaceuticals, LLC announced today that the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office has issued U.S. Patent Nos. 6,569,664, and 6,573,062, with coverage directed to TNF Receptor Releasing Enzyme. The technology is licensed exclusively to Meyer Pharmaceuticals from the University of California at Irvine, and is being developed as a new biological agent for treating arthritis.
